Thanks for the comment.  Of course you are able to invest here in the Santa Barbara area.  That is not an issue as long as you are a US citizen.  If you are not a US citizen then it is still OK, but there are other restrictions such as higher credit, more down payment etc.

I lived in SB as a student many years ago and will be visiting friends in CA during the 2nd half of June (including Santa Barbara which I love).  Thought it might be a nice place for semi retirement.

		<description>Kevin:  We see similar foreclosure phenomena in the San Diego real estate market.  Most of the foreclosures and short sales appear in newer subdivisions and developments--where buyers bought at the top of the market with financing that was doomed to fail.</description>
