I would not doubt that IV has higher rents.  I don&#039;t work with rentals too much, but yes it is just supply vs demand.  Plain and simple.</description>

This comment isn&#039;t exactly related to your post, but hopefully you can help me out with this. I live in Isla Vista (Im a student at UCSB), and I&#039;ve always wondered if its myth or fact that rent in Isla Vista is much higher then rent downtown. Is that true?
If so, what is the reasoning behind that? I would venture a guess that Isla Vista&#039;s high rents are due to the limited supply and desirability due to proximity to the university.. What other reasons might there be?</description>
