Vieja Gardens is a rather peaceful, quiet feeling planned community located next to the More Mesa Bluffs here in Santa Barbara CA. The community was developed in 1971-1973 and features a total of 108 units, with a mixture of 3 bedroom and 2 bedroom town home style condos.
The 3 bedroom units are roughly 1250 – 1385 sqft. with 2 baths and an attached 2 car garage.
The 2 bedroom units are roughly 1050 – 1150 sqft. with 2 baths and an attached 2 car garage.
All town homes have interior laundry, high ceilings and good access to outdoor space. Many units have views over the local golf course and/or local Santa Ynez mountains. There is an abundance of open space and lawn areas to simply get outside and walk. The community has its own well that allows them to keep the open space lush and green feeling all year round. In addition to this, the complex is very conveniently located next to the bike bath that runs from town out to UCSB. Additionally, you are a quick stroll out to the More Mesa bluffs and the open space around there as well as direct access to the Pacific Ocean.
All homes have a light tan colored stucco exterior finish with patios. The HOA is very lenient with what you can do on the outside as far as patios. As you walk around the community you see that many home owners have expanded their patios with various styles and size.
There are no overhead wires. The community has a tennis court and surrounds the Hidden Oaks 9 hole golf course.
