The wonderful community of Hope Ranch is unlike any other place in Santa Barbara, occupying a hilly area immediately adjacent to the coastline with wonderful winding and rolling hills. The highest elevation is 691 feet (211 m), and the overall area encompasses 1,863 acres.
Within the community of Hope Ranch, you will find and abundant display of native vegetation that is mostly California oak woodland and chaparral, with the majority of homes constructed to blend in with the natural landscape, allowing the area to retain much of its tree canopy. The narrow residential roads, not always signed, interweave throughout the community with an elaborate network of horse paths. The local homeowner’s association manages the private roads, bridle trails, and the “private beach”.
A good amount of homes and estate possess panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Channel Islands, while others enjoy the changing colors and vistas of the local Santa Ynez Mountains. “In the center” of Hope Ranch, the wonderful manicured course of La Cumbre Country Club and the private Laguna Blanca High School blend nicely to the surrounding landscape. Overall in Hope Ranch there is evidence of charm and enormous appeal for the lucky ones that call this area home.
