Most Significant Luxury Montecito and Santa Barbara Real Estate Sales in 2011…So Far
2011 has started off the year once again with the upper end of our market feeling fairly active. There seem to be a bunch of buyers looking around above the $3 million price point, with several homes going into escrow. Miramar Hotel Project Update for January 2011, Montecito CA.
So what is happening with the Miramar Hotel? Disrepair now for more than a decade...any plans? I hear these questions here and there and with each update there seems to be some sign of life for the project.
The current owner of the project, Rick Caruso has recently submitted a revised plan that will hopefully appease everyone. Here are the final year end statistics for single family homes sales in Montecito for 2010.
1) Overall there were a total of 153 Closed Sales (reported by the Santa Barbara/Montecito MLS) of single family homes in Montecito.
2) These 153 were slightly higher than in 2009 where we had a total of 143 Closed Sales of single family homes.
3) The lowest sale was a small Bank Owned cottage located at 1394 Danielson Road, Montecito, CA 93108 that sold for $685,000.
