So far in 2015, we have once again seen a very steady active real estate market on The Mesa here in Santa Barbara. One big difference compared to the last few years has been the amount of luxury higher end sales that we have been seeing at the “Top of the Mesa”, specifically the newer homes all along the La Vista del Oceano corridor. In this area we have pushed the price point of high end Mesa all the way to the $3.5-5 million plus range.
1702 La Vista Del Oceano is a brand new home with gorgeous ocean island views, pool and all high end amenities. Just this last May, the home closed sale at $5.3 million. All the other homes in this newer development also pushed above the $3 million price point. If any of these chose to list today, most likely they would all fetch somewhere in the $4.5 to $5.5 million price point.
In addition to these homes, Harbor Hills and La Coronilla have also seen sales topping the $3 million price point while there have been several other sales in the upper $2 millions.
